Consolation at the Death of Friends-2
In today’s meditation, we pick up where we left off last time with Johann Gerhard and finding consolation at the death of loved ones or friends. Here Gerhard gives us a uniquely Christian way of looking at death. Death itself is far from “natural.” In fact, it is our fiercest enemy. But because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, death has become a gateway, or, as Gerhard says, a “port of safety.” Here Gerhard explains what he means.
