Consolation at the Death of Friends, Part 2

Today, with Johann Gerhard, we continue finding consolation at the death of loved ones or friends. Gerhard gives us a uniquely Christian way of looking at death. Death itself is far from “natural.” In fact, it is our fiercest enemy. But because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, death has become a gateway, or a “port of safety,” as Gerhard says.
